SkillsUSA Summer 2022 Professional Development

On August 10, 2022 the Delaware SkillsUSA Executive Planning Committee met for a summer professional development session led by Assistant Director Chip Harris. Faculty and staff reviewed the framework for SkillsUSA and how to establish a local chapter. The whole team came together to name some goals and ideas of how to grow SkillsUSA in Delaware and how to incorporate the students more on a local level.

Coastal Cleanup

The 32nd annual Delaware Coastal Cleanup, to be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 14. Sponsored by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, the cleanup spans the First State’s 97-mile eastern coastline and includes river and ocean shorelines as well as wetland and watershed areas. Officers and Students Attend 2019 Fall Leadership Conference

October 8-9 – Students from across the state of Delaware converged on the Terry Campus of Delaware Technical Community College, for the annual Fall Leadership Conference. Students were comprised of local chapter leaders and potential new chapter leaders for their respective organizations. Over 400 students participated each day. Attendees engaged in activities to recognize natural leadership abilities and participated in a mock competition for extemporaneous speaking.
